Herbert Edward Crisp (seated) served 1916-1919. This was taken in France, the back just has "Carte Postale" on. His unpolished boots are worn with the spurs which are still in his son's possession. The rough chair and visible floorboards suggest that the photo was taken under the difficult conditions of the time.
