Workwear

1939-45
Womens Land Army breeches. Submitted by Jill on the A272
Made of heavy corduroy with buttons at either side of waist. Women were issued with 2 pairs each. The smallest, size 1, were to fit a woman with a 24" waist and 4'10" height. These are the largest, size 7 for 27"-29" waist for women 5'7" to 6' tall - I'm at the lower end of this size, and they would have been vast on me.
