The parishes and districts of Glasgow are many and varied, as a result there are dozens of cathedral, church and chapel buildings. Pinpointing a historic parish is difficult due to numerous boundary changes over a period of time.
Alphabetical district listings are now being used to allow an image to be located more easily, searches can be made by entering either the district or building name in the search box at the top of any wiki page as well as by scrolling through the page. Where no district is currently known entries will be recorded simply as Glasgow, this would normally indicate a building close to the city centre but may be due to a lack of information from the primary sources currently available, alternatively the precise location of a building may be unknown at present. District names of Glasgow and Central Glasgow are used to provide matching keyword(s) for the wiki search facility.
If you believe an image should be moved from the "Glasgow" district and can supply the location (address or road name) please leave the relevant details here.
The Scotland POW co-ordinators would also like to thank Alex from the Urban Glasgow site for allowing Family Tree Forum use of a number of images within this section.
