Finland is situated in northern Europe, and is bordered by Sweden, Russia, Norway and Estonia.
It is a country with thousands of lakes and many islands, with little arable land, being mostly forested. Finland has a strong Lutheran following, and much of the country is scattered with churches and monuments reflecting this. Helsinki, the capital city centres around fine old architecture, where many galleries and museums can be found, along with most of the big industries that form todays economy.
Finland is, of course, the home of Father Christmas and many people visit the country for is fine christmas celebrations, as well as skiing and sledging.
