Boy in Velvet Suit born 1883. Submitted by Jill on the A272 by permission of C Frye	He wears a velvet suit with knee breeches with three buttons down the side of each leg, lace collar with silk bow tie and carries a whip in his hand. The rustic look with the logs was popular at the time.

Working Class Country Girls. Submitted by Jill on the A272.	The girls' grandmother (b1850) lived with them and had been a seamstress. She made all their knickers (not visible!) in the style of her own girlhood, with a flap that buttoned onto the waistband - this resulted in "accidents" for the younger girls who found the fastenings difficult. The old lady died in 1938.
