The window illustrated in the picture dates from 1903, St Mary's itself however can be dated to the mid 1760's. Originally much smaller, extensions to the building were made in 1826, 1873 and lastly in 1912-13 when the chancel and vestry were constructed. The site has hosted a church since the twelfth century and the current church replaced an earlier example which was destroyed by fire.
